A few weeks ago a friend and colleague at work was sworn in as a US Citizen. This man has LEGALLY come to America as a student and later legally obtained working privileges and eventually full US Citizenship. This man is a giant of a human being as well as an honorable husband, father and brilliant software tester and the exact kind of man we want to come to the US. The process he had to follow to become a US Citizen was brutal, time consuming and expensive. It should be. Becoming a US citizen should be something that is difficult and earned. This man served in the South Korean Army and is a loyal, hard working American who takes care of his wife, family and helps in his community and church. He is pretty much a hero to me. Him and people like him, regardless of where they come from should be welcomed here when they do what it takes to come here LEGALLY. Just sneaking across the border is not earning it. It is cheating and every time we let someone do it and get away with it, we mock honorable men like my friend who worked and sacrificed so much to earn it. My friend is a patriot and citizen. Welcome to Citizenship Ben!

That's great to hear. I'm happy for Ben and his family. Can't agree with you more about being legal. When I see what folks like Romy, Parra, and Ben have to do to be legal, it makes me less sympathetic and concerned for illegals. We need to improve the process for these kind of good, honest people not reward the cheaters and criminals, regardless of their country of origin.
Fantastic. Ben is a great example of sincere citizenship. Contests!
Amen Harry!
Legal immigrants appreciate this country period. They love it. Illegals are the opposite. They take and don't want to assimilate.
